Qualifications:

• BS in mechanical engineering with 2-5 years of experience in an industrial product engineering field.
• Experience with the application of heat transfer, thermo-mechanical, hydraulic, combustion, and basic electrical engineering methods.
• Demonstrable experience owning a product from design through customer experience.
• Thorough understanding of drafting standards.
• Experience with the creation and management of engineering data in an ERP or MRP system.
• Experience with the hands-on troubleshooting and problem solving. Ability to resolve technical and manufacturing issues without detailed direction and work as part of a team.
• Ability to work within strict deadlines, multitask, and prioritize multiple projects and assignments.
• Experience communicating across all levels of the organization, including presenting, and participating in various meetings, for example technical and project design reviews.
• Strong technical writing skills, including proofreading and editing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and improve thermal- and electro-mechanical products by studying performance requirements, researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials, and soliciting observations from all product stakeholders.
• Lead the review, implementation, and approval of Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) to manage product releases and modifications.
• Oversee the creation and maintenance of all revision-controlled engineering documentation, such as drawings and bills of materials.
• Create and maintain all engineering-controlled customer facing documents related to the product lines, including O&M manuals and technical specifications.
• Perform engineering calculations and analyses to predict component/subsystem performance.
• Address issues that arise during the design process, including studying failure modes and mitigating technical risks.
• Confirm product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods.
• Consider manufacturing processes during the design phase to enhance efficiency, safety, and product quality.
• Assist with the setup and testing of prototype products to validate designs and make necessary adjustments.
• Obtain and maintain product approvals from external agencies like UL and CE (ATEX/IECEx).
• Deliver product training to employees as needed to ensure they understand product features and usage.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new products and improvements.
