Burgettstown, PA Burgettstown, PA 15021, USA Description Major Responsibilities/Activities: Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define the vision for the high-performance door portfolio, prioritizing features that solve industrial challenges (e.g., energy efficiency, cycle speed, wind resistance, and impact resistance). Market Intelligence: Conduct deep-dive research on industry trends, competitor movements, and regulatory changes (ANSI, OSHA, BABA, etc.) to keep Hörmann ahead of the curve. Cross-Functional Leadership: Work closely with Engineering to guide R&D efforts and with Manufacturing to ensure cost-effective, high-quality production. Sales Enablement: Work closely with Sales and Marketing to develop technical documentation, training programs and value-proposition toolkits to help our sales teams and distributors win complex projects. Lifecycle Management: Monitor product performance, manage SKU rationalization, and lead the "phase-out" or "next-gen" transition for aging product lines. Voice of the Customer (VOC): Spend time in the field with installers and facility managers to understand real-world pain points and translate them into actionable product improvements. Experience with High Performance Doors or automated entrance systems a plus. Proficiency in CRM (Salesforce), ERP (SAP), and Project Management tools (MS Project, Teams, etc.) Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or Engineering Technology. MBA is a plus. 3–5+ years of Product Management experience, preferably in the industrial equipment, construction, or building materials sector. Ability to read technical drawings and understand mechanical/electrical systems (motors, sensors, and controllers). Exceptional ability to translate "engineering speak" into "customer value" for marketing and sales. Prioritization skills Essential Physical Functions: Be able to safely lift or move at least 50 lbs. Be able to safely climb stairs or ladder. Be able to work in cold or hot working conditions Travel Requirements: Ability to travel up to 25% for site visits, trade shows, and meetings at our manufacturing facilities.
