Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager for a 12-month contract in Cumberland, RI. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies, product roadmapping, and stakeholder collaboration within software development or application engineering environments. This role requires strong communication and analytical skills to bridge the gap between technical teams and business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and prioritize business requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic objectives.
  • Create and manage product roadmaps, clearly communicating project goals, deliverables, and timelines to cross-functional teams.
  • Lead the creation of detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and product backlog items.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and backlog grooming.
  • Utilize Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence for backlog management and sprint planning.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure products are delivered on time and meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and updates effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Product Owner or Product Manager role within software development or application engineering teams.
  • Prior experience as a Business Analyst is preferred.
  • Certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Certified Product Manager (CPM), or Project Management Professional (PMP) are highly desirable.
  • Proven experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment, with strong knowledge of agile practices and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
