Position Product Marketing Manager II - Horizontal Use Cases
Location: Bellevue, WA, USA or remote within the US where Smartsheet is registered.
Overview Smartsheet is expanding its value proposition across horizontal use cases, including Enterprise PMO, Operations & Process Management, IT PPM, Service Delivery, and Governance, Risk & Compliance. The Horizontal Use Cases pod focuses on unlocking adjacent functional buyers in enterprise accounts and building positioning to win across these buyers. The Product Marketing Manager II will support value strategy, positioning, and sales-ready content for a defined set of horizontal use cases, partnering with the Sr. Manager, Product Marketing to develop differentiated, quantified value propositions and drive multi-function adoption in the enterprise installed base.
Responsibilities Assist with the execution and maintenance of the differentiated value strategy for each use case.
Contribute to the development of quantified Value Impact Models, translating Smartsheet capabilities into productivity and efficiency claims for ROI conversations.
Support buyer interviews and win/loss debriefs to refine positioning; document the evidence base grounded in validated buyer input.
Contribute to competitive research and differentiating for assigned use cases; translate competitive comparisons into field-ready positioning for Sales evaluations.
Assist in the production and maintenance of the Sales-Ready content package for assigned use cases; ensure content meets the Sales Ready standard for field use in live buyer conversations.
Assist with Sales Enablement in training AEs and SEs on positioning; track content adoption through leading indicators (e.g., Gong keyword usage, Highspot asset engagement, field feedback).
Qualifications 3 years of experience in product marketing, marketing, or business strategy in a B2B SaaS environment.
Familiarity with value positioning and competitive messaging for enterprise buyers.
Interest or exposure to ROI frameworks, Value Impact Models, or business case tools.
Strong writing and messaging skills—able to translate complex platform capabilities into clear, buyer-resonant value claims.
Comfort collaborating with Sales, Customer Success, and field teams to validate and iterate on positioning in real time.
Analytically minded; able to work with win rate data, SAM analysis, and competitive intelligence to inform decisions.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
Legally eligible to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis.
Benefits & Compensation US base salary range: $97,500 - $127,500 USD.
