Product Marketing & Go-to-Market Strategy
Develop and execute strategic marketing initiatives for annuity and life insurance products across independent agent, bank, and broker-dealer distribution channels
Partner with sales and distribution leaders to craft compelling product positioning and advisor-focused messaging that drives engagement and sales growth
Lead go-to-market strategy and launch execution for new products, product enhancements, and strategic campaigns
Translate complex insurance concepts into clear, compelling, advisor-friendly marketing materials and sales enablement tools
Create and oversee high-impact marketing campaigns across digital, print, social media, email, webinars, conferences, and live events
Content & Sales Enablement
Develop compelling product collateral including:
Product guides
Competitive analyses and scorecards
Sales presentations
Rate sheets
Campaign materials
Thought leadership content
Advisor education resources
Ensure all materials remain current, compliant, and aligned with evolving market dynamics
Market Intelligence & Competitive Positioning
Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, competitor offerings, and emerging opportunities within the annuity and life insurance landscape
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to strengthen product differentiation and advisor value propositions
Analyze campaign performance and distribution feedback to optimize marketing effectiveness and improve business outcomes
Cross-Functional Leadership
Collaborate closely with marketing, sales, operations, compliance, customer service, and third-party administration teams
Support advisor and wholesaler education initiatives with effective training and sales enablement resources
Engage with external partners, advisors, and distribution relationships to gather marketplace insights and strengthen product adoption
Regulatory & Compliance Partnership
Ensure all marketing communications meet industry regulatory standards and internal compliance requirements
Stay current on evolving insurance and financial services regulations impacting annuity and life products
What You Will Need
5+ years of product marketing experience within the insurance or financial services industry. Candidates with experience from the following environments are preferred:
Insurance carriers
IMO/FMO organizations
Broker-dealers
Wealth management and retirement firms
Financial services marketing organizations
Distribution and product strategy teams focused on annuities and life insurance
Strong expertise in annuities and life insurance products, including product positioning, advisor marketing, and distribution strategy
Deep understanding of independent distribution, broker-dealers, banks, IMOs/FMOs, and financial advisor sales channels
Proven success developing and executing product marketing campaigns that drive growth and engagement
Exceptional communication, presentation, and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts
Experience building marketing and sales enablement materials that support advisor education and product adoption
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to use market insights and performance data to guide strategy
Highly organized, collaborative, and execution-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or related field required
CFP®, CLU®, ChFC®, or other industry designations are a plus
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., 40 hours weekly, or as otherwise arranged with the manager of the department.
