Job Description:
Our Medical Device client is seeking to hire a Senior Technical Product Owner responsible for determining and prioritizing system-level work across firmware and software teams within a highly regulated, innovative cardiovascular medical device environment. This role fulfills the need for a senior-level Product Owner who can set sprint priorities and drive alignment across firmware and software teams in a complex cardiovascular medical device ecosystem. What makes this opportunity unique is that it supports a top, highly innovative cardiovascular client developing life-critical technology, requiring true system-level leadership across embedded and software domains.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Lead coordination across 3 Agile teams within a shared ecosystem

  • Drive program increment and sprint planning activities

  • Prioritize backlog based on business value and regulatory requirements

  • Define sprint goals and ensure alignment to system deliverables

  • Run Scrum of Scrums to surface risks and cross-team dependencies

  • Align firmware, software, QA, regulatory, and engineering stakeholders

  • Oversee development across multiple controllers and system modules

  • Manage dependencies across embedded systems and cloud-connected modules

  • Ensure system-level functionality and integration alignment

Requirements:

  • Must-Haves:

    • 10 years in software development environments

    • Medical device experience (Class II or III preferred)

    • Strong exposure to embedded systems and firmware

    • Experience working with multi-controller, multi-module architectures

    • System-level thinking across hardware and software

    • Experience operating in regulated environments

    • Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals and secure communication

    • Experience adapting Agile within compliance-driven environments

    • Jira experience

  • Nice-to-Haves:

    • Class III or life-critical medical device experience

    • JAMA experience

    • Experience with secure, cloud-connected medical platforms
