Job Description:
We are seeking a Product Owner with extensive experience in the insurance and reinsurance domain to lead the development of advanced underwriting and client-facing solutions. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, leveraging technology to streamline processes, enhance client interactions, and drive business value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring all items are well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with underwriting and client engagement objectives.
- Work closely with underwriting teams, business stakeholders, and technical teams to define detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements.
- Drive the design and development of underwriting systems and client-facing platforms, ensuring seamless integration with core systems and external APIs.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions, ensuring alignment with architectural standards.
- Define and execute the product roadmap, focusing on delivering functionality that supports data-driven underwriting, risk analysis, and customer engagement tools.
- Conducted technical feasibility analysis and worked with developers to resolve complex integration challenges.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards, compliance regulations, and cybersecurity best practices.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or equivalent role in the insurance and reinsurance industry, with a focus on underwriting systems or client-facing applications.
- Familiarity with underwriting tools, risk models, and client management workflows.
- Proficient in Agile/Scrum methodologies, with the ability to lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups.
- Experience working with data analytics platforms, AI/ML tools, or other advanced technologies in insurance.
- Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in the insurance and reinsurance domain.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to bridge the gap between business and technical teams.
- Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Figma, and underwriting platforms (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek, or similar) is a plus.
