Meta is looking for a Product Policy Manager, ideally with experience in tech, policy making, government, or law, to join our Integrity Product Policy team. The teams mission is to create and communicate rules for how our products may be used across Metas Family of Apps. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the services Meta provides, the people we serve, and the policy questions we face.The post holder will advise on the process and principles for how we recommend new and interesting content to users. Candidates must be able to develop new policy, apply policy frameworks to new and evolving products, and be able to scrutinize systems and approaches with a view to identifying potential risks (and generate solutions to mitigate those issues). The ability to evaluate significant trade-offs, as well as own and be responsible for difficult decisions (including under time pressure), is essential. The successful candidate will have their finger on the pulse of policy and regulatory issues around the world, and be interested in product development. They will be detail oriented critical thinkers, and at the same time be operationally minded and focused on getting things done.Candidates will be responsible for understanding how our systems work, and be able to guide the development of new and scaled responses to product policy issues. They will need to be able to anticipate and articulate the risks, opportunities and impact of our policies, thinking globally and across a diverse spectrum of users. Most importantly, the ideal candidate will be able to work collaboratively with partners across the company, working with them to solve problems, make trade offs, share policy perspectives, and bring improved products to our users.


Product Policy Manager, Integrity Responsibilities:

  • Understand our recommendations systems and provide counsel on their application, as well as their continued evolution and refinement.
  • Review products, features, and initiatives to provide practical counsel and strategies across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Collaborate with product partners to help build and refine products that meet the goals of the Product, Operations, Legal and Policy teams.
  • Build relationships with - and understand the perspectives of - partners on internal teams, such as Operations, Engineering, Product Management, Communications, Legal, and Public Policy.
  • Help articulate policy philosophy, launches, and product changes to relevant parties, including leadership and other internal and external stakeholders.



Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in policy, technology, law, or government.
  • Demonstrates analytical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working cross-functionally and consensus-building, including managing multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Demonstrated experience with regularly handling and prioritizing multiple complex projects.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in public policy or law.
