Rate: $41.91 Hourly
Shift: First
Start Time: 7:30 AM
End Time: 3:30 PM
Job Description:
- Work statement is a non-managerial role, non-leadership role. This needs to be noted on top of the job description for these levels or job codes
- Regular and predictable attendance is required
- Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes. Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul. Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment. Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components. Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components. Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results). Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements. Oversees training. Works under general direction.

- Aircraft maintenance experience (3 years)
- Demonstrates the ability to prioritize and complete all required training and qualification requirements in a timely manner to meet contractual, regulatory, and operational expectations.
Preferred Experience:
- C-17 specific experience (1 year)
- Airforce experience preferred
- Structural maintenance experience preferred
- A&P License
- RAMS mechanic
- Roughly 3-5 weeks of training (will most likely be in San Antonio)
Education / Experience:
- Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).
- Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.

Position Comments:
- Shifts: 1st Shift (7:00-3:30pm)
- Onsite/remote/hybrid: 100% onsite

- Physical demands (if any): exposed to loud noises, flexion/extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching (overhead), rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist and walking, climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting). Carry/Lift up to 35 pounds.
