Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Product Software Engineer II to join the Content Platform Engineering team. The role focuses on building and enhancing platform capabilities, with a strong emphasis on enhancing and supporting the existing ingest & packaging platform and workflows. The team develops and manages a diverse suite of products and services that power Disney’s media supply chain, enabling content delivery for iconic brands such as Disney+, ESPN+, Hulu, ABC, Marvel, and Star Wars.
Responsibilities Design, write, test, and deploy high-quality code to develop reliable, maintainable software solutions.
Collaborate with platform engineers, product teams, and stakeholders to ensure technical solutions effectively support business goals and content strategies.
Monitor and optimize production systems, ensuring platform stability, performance, and uptime.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent training or work experience.
3+ years of experience in a technical field.
Proficiency in object-oriented programming and software development.
Knowledge of non-relational database systems such as MongoDB and DynamoDB.
Knowledge of cloud providers like AWS or other cloud technologies.
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, React, and Docker.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Consistent, proactive self‑starter.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of Data Structures, Distributed Systems, and Computational Complexity.
Experience with one or more general‑purpose programming languages: Java, C/C++, C#, Python, JavaScript, Go, Scala.
Ability and interest to learn other coding languages as needed.
Compensation Compensation for this position in Glendale, CA is $117,500 - $157,500. The base pay may be adjusted based on internal equity and geographic region. Additional compensation may include a bonus and/or long‑term incentive units. Standard benefits such as medical and financial benefits apply.
