🚀 About the Role

We are hiring a Product Support Engineer to join a global leader in heavy equipment, Caterpillar. This role sits at the intersection of quality, engineering, and field support, focusing on resolving real-world equipment issues and improving product performance.

You’ll work closely with internal engineering teams, dealers, and customers to troubleshoot problems, analyze failures, and drive continuous improvement.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate warranty claims and field failures to identify root causes and quality improvement opportunities
  • Provide technical support to dealers and customers, resolving equipment issues efficiently
  • Analyze product reliability, performance data, and failure trends
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to implement corrective actions
  • Perform electrical and hydraulic system troubleshooting
  • Develop and maintain quality reports, documentation, and test procedures
  • Support training and knowledge sharing on product support and quality processes

🧠 Required Skills & Experience

  • 5–7 years of experience in product support, quality engineering, or test engineering
  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Engineering or related field
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Electrical troubleshooting (multimeter, oscilloscope)
  • J1939 CAN / CAN Bus communication
  • Hydraulic systems
  • Sensors (Hall effect, pressure transducers, angle sensors)
  • Failure analysis & root cause investigation
  • Data analysis & technical reporting
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft tools and engineering-related applications

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Customer-focused with the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
