Production Control Specialist
Griffin, GA

Job Summary:
Production Control from planning to shipping process, this position supports to meet with customer demands and smooth operation in plant.

General Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To support the vision, mission and guiding principles of the company.

  • While performing any procedure, all associates must observe applicable Safety, Health, and Environmental rules and guidelines. The use of appropriate personal protective equipment is required.

  • Attend and participate in training opportunities and seminars relevant to this position.

  • Adhere to appropriate the companys operating procedures, benefit rules, employment, and safety policies/practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with CS team to get the customer information and provide to related department in plant.

  • Production planning based on the sales information such as PO and forecast

  • Control SO, MO and invoice included in drop shipment

  • Shipping control, ETD, Shipping document

  • Calculate production cost for P/L control

  • Lead inventory counting and control the inventory amount

  • Issue POR (Purchase Order Requisitions) as needed

Others:

  • Special projects as assigned by Production Controller

  • Propose improvements for making work procedures more efficient.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with understanding importance of compliance and fair trade.

  • Maintain workstation in a clean and orderly manner

  • Other duties as assigned

Competencies/Specific Experience or Training Preferred:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Education and Experience

  • Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent plus at least 3 years experience in production control or a related position in a manufacturing environment

  • Preferred: Associates degree in business/economics or equivalent related experience.

  • At least three years of experience in production control or related positions in a manufacturing production environment

  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Good communication abilities, both verbal and written, are essential.

  • Analytical skills and flexibility in dealing with a changing environment is required.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.

  • Able to get along well with others in a team environment

  • Strong PC capabilities particularly with MS office products

  • Trouble shooting and anticipation skills

  • Ability to define and resolve problems quickly

  • Equipment and Applications

  • Working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
