We are working with a manufacturing client in Romeoville that is looking for a Production Development Manager. The position will be unique in that it will have project management which would be looking after prototypes, prototype shop and machines, and partners to help in prototype/small batch sector. It will also be part product management in the case of the customer support and technical knowledge. This is a direct hire position that would be in office 5 days a week, when not traveling. No sponsorship is available. No B2C/C2C. Must live in the Chicagoland or area.Duties and Responsibilities:Inspect & confirm that the product is assembled properly to specifications of the designFind & work with local resources in the area, when the parts of the product cannot be completed in houseAssist Senior Engineer and travel to customer sites to help assemble, trouble shoot productsMaintain a schedule of projects & meet timelinesKeep track of all items in Inventory Work with corporate on all projectsQualifications/Experience:Bachelor’s degree3+ years of Project/Product Management experienceKnowledge of and be able to work with: Sheet Metal, Welding, Milling Machines, Fabrication Machines, Steel tubingIdeal candidate has metal, steel and plastics experienceCommunicate with corporate and customers when needed
