Ahlstrom is seeking a Production Engineer at their plant in De Pere, Wisconsin. This position has responsibility for the achievement of safety, quality, production, cost, and product development objectives of a paper machine process line. This position works closely with the Machine Manager and production Team Members to achieve these objectives in a safe, team-based environment.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for assisting in the achievement of safety, productivity, quality, efficiency, cost control, compliance, and housekeeping objectives of the process lineSupport Machine Manager in leading a paper machine process line, including daily and long term activitiesFacilitate operations/maintenance efforts and drive continuous improvementProvide Team Members with needed equipment and training resourcesProvide guidance to Team Members to foster individual growthManage assigned projects to successful completionProvide technical support for product development trialsLearn and assist in the deployment of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma toolsLead investigations for safety, quality, or operations issuesMust follow Ahlstrom’s manufacturing and hygiene processes, procedures and policies, as applicable, to the position’s areas of responsibility, in order to meet and maintain the safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements for each grade of paperRequirementsBachelor’s degree in an Engineering field (Mechanical, Paper Science, Chemical, Electrical or related degree)Related experience preferredHigh safety awareness and focus on injury preventionQuality mindset with an emphasis on continuous improvementStrong leadership and interpersonal skillsProject management and problem-solving skillsProficient in Microsoft Office software, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPointAptitude for learning new software systemsApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basisAhlstrom is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
