Job Description

Production Supervisor (Engineering Preferred)

Location: Lompoc, CA

Shift: 12-Hour Rotating (4-on / 4-off; 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Compensation: $80,000 - $95,000 + Benefits

Build Your Career with a Leader in High-Purity Production

Are you a disciplined leader with a technical mindset? We are seeking a Production Supervisor to join our Celpure team. This isn't just a floor-management role; it’s a high-impact position where you will oversee the complex manufacturing of diatomaceous earth and perlite, ensuring our global customers receive the highest quality product.

As we expand our team to ensure 24/7 coverage, we are looking for a supervisor who leads by example, champions MSHA safety standards, and possesses the technical aptitude to optimize equipment and troubleshoot process bottlenecks.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead & Mentor: Direct a multi-disciplinary team of operators, laborers, and maintenance personnel.
  • Drive Efficiency: Own your shift’s KPIs, focusing on tons produced, operating efficiency, and waste reduction.
  • Safety First: Serve as the site role model for MSHA and EPA compliance, conducting daily safety meetings and workplace inspections.
  • Technical Oversight: Monitor equipment parameters, perform lab sample analysis, and troubleshoot interruptions to keep production on track.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify roadblocks in the production plan and implement standards to improve quality and throughput.

What We’re Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (strongly preferred) or a related technical field. High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to handle computerized data entry (production reports/QC management) and perform lab analysis.
  • Resilience: Comfortable working in a heavy industrial environment (dust, heat, noise, and vibrations) requiring PPE including respirators and hardhats.
  • Availability: Must be able to work a 4-on/4-off rotating 12-hour schedule (including nights and weekends).

Physical Requirements

  • Active presence on the floor: 70% walking, 25% standing.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable kneeling, crouching, and navigating production levels.

Why Join Us?

  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
  • A stable, 24/7 operation with a clear "4-on/4-off" schedule for better work-life balance.
  • Opportunities to apply engineering principles to real-world manufacturing challenges.
