Responsibilities
- Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of mechanical and electrical assemblers and technicians.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
- Production Management
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee the daily production activities to ensure timely completion of assembly tasks.
- Develop and implement production schedules, allocate resources, and manage workflow to meet production targets.
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
- Quality Assurance
- Establish and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of product quality and performance.
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of assembled dynamometers to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Identify and address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
- Process Improvement
- Analyze production processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and other process improvement methodologies.
- Safety and Compliance
- Ensure that all production activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and enforce safety protocols.
- Conduct regular safety training sessions and audits.
- Inventory and Resource Management
- Manage inventory levels to ensure the availability of necessary materials and components for assembly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred OR related experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production leadership role, preferably in manufacturing or the performance racing industry.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical assembly processes.
Required Skills
- Knowledge in electronic assembly and a strong ability to troubleshoot electronic systems.
- A basic understanding of PLCs, VFDs, and high-power electrical systems is required, along with the capability to install computer software and support related technical functions.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and production management software.
