Our program is centered on the development of young artists, many of whom are performing their first major roles, and our productions are intentionally simple, creative, and resource‑conscious. This position plays a key role in maintaining that balance of artistic quality and operational efficiency. Dates : Session 1: June 16 - July 12, 2026; Session 2: July 14 - August 9, 2026 Position Summary : The Production Manager oversees the logistical and operational needs of each production, supporting stage directors, coordinating technical elements, and ensuring that rehearsals and performances run efficiently. This role requires strong organization, communication, and problem‑solving skills, as well as the ability to remain calm and focused during busy production periods. We provide onboarding support, including the option to schedule a call with our previous production manager and comprehensive training materials. Key Responsibilities Coordinate all production logistics across the summer season. Collaborate with stage directors to understand and support their creative concepts. Oversee the use and organization of props, furniture, and shared scenic elements. Maintain consistency in overall stage design while adapting setups for different productions. Support rehearsal room setup and transitions. Manage schedules, ensure deadlines are met, and communicate updates to the artistic and administrative staff. Lead the technical process during two tech weeks per summer , the busiest period of the season. Work closely with the production team, venue staff, and young artists to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Troubleshoot issues that arise during rehearsals, tech, and performances. Qualifications Prior experience in production management, stage management, or related fields preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with stage directors, faculty, and young artists. Comfort working in a fast‑paced environment, especially during tech week.
