Job Title: Production Manager Location: Arvin, CA Employment Type: Full-Time/Temp-to-hire Salary Range: $80,000–$85,000 annually (DOE) Position Overview Legacy Staffing is seeking a hands-on, experienced Production Manager on behalf of our client, a manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for leading production activities across multiple departments, ensuring safety, quality, and performance standards are consistently met. The ideal candidate is a strong on-floor leader who excels in supervising teams, driving efficiency, and improving operational processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve production goals Supervise, coach, and develop supervisors, team leads, and production employees Oversee staffing, scheduling, performance management, and corrective actions Ensure compliance with company safety policies, quality standards, and procedures Analyze production data to identify trends and implement improvements Partner with Maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability Support workforce planning, training initiatives, and employee development programs Collaborate with HR to address employee relations matters Drive accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence Key Qualifications Proven leadership and supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume operation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency preferred for safety and performance communication Strong analytical abilities with experience using production data to guide improvements Experience in steel fabrication, welding, roll forming, paint line, or automated manufacturing strongly preferred Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required 3+ years of management or supervisory experience in manufacturing or production 3+ years of experience in steel fabrication, welding, roll forming, automated packing, or paint line operations preferred Physical & Mental Demands Primarily office-based work with extended periods of sitting and computer use Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching Ability to lift 15–20 lbs occasionally Must maintain attention to detail and manage multiple priorities effectively Regular communication with employees and management is required Professional office setting located within a manufacturing facility Occasional presence on the production floor required Exposure to moderate noise levels typical of a manufacturing environment PPE required during production floor visits If you are a hands-on leader with strong manufacturing expertise and a passion for driving team success, we encourage you to apply.
