As our Production Manager, you’ll be the heartbeat of our clients manufacturing floor. The ideal candidate will be a transformative leader and will play a key role in reoptimizing our operations while improving productivity at all wok centers.
What You'll Do
- Lead daily operations of the Mill, Cabinetry, Seating, and Metal Fab departments, ensuring every work center meets quality, budget, and production goals.
- Inspire, empower, evaluate, and mentor a team of cabinetmakers, machine operators, assemblers, and fabricators to perform at their best.
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to implement cultural shifts that promote accountability, engagement, and results-driven performance.
- Act as a change agent by modeling effective productivity habits, encouraging innovation, and promoting positive behavioral changes throughout the production floor.
- Execute production plan using ERP/MRP tools, managing production capabilities to ensure production due dates are meet every time
- Coordinate with production planning, engineering, project management, sales managers, and installation teams to solve challenges and keep projects on track.
- Champion continuous improvement—utilizing lean manufacturing practices, optimizing material flow, and reducing waste.
- Uphold a culture of safety and quality first, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and company protocols.
- Monitor production metrics to analyze productivity, identify issues, and make data driven recommendations for operational improvements.
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate with facilities management to execute preventive maintenance program to keep production running without interruptions.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing, wood technology, or a related field preferred.
- 10+ years of leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in commercial millwork, architectural woodworking, or related manufacturing field.
- Knowledge of woodworking equipment, CNC equipment, materials, and related processes.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and shop drawings.
- Demonstrated ability in workflow planning, production scheduling, and meeting production due dates.
- Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP production planning tools, MS Office Suite.
- A proven record of implementing process improvements to improve quality, efficiency and reduce costs.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to inspire and unite diverse teams.
