Position: Production Manager

Position Summary:

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating production activities, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining quality standards within our facility.

Duties:

• Look ahead and set the stage for team success by ensuring appropriate materials, tools, and staff are present.

• Direct and coordinate the activities of production supervisors and respective team.

• Plan, direct, or coordinate the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing products in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications.

• Direct and coordinate the activities of production team engaged in cleaning, sanitation, waste handling and storage activities.

• Confer with other managers/supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.

• Develop healthy working knowledge of manufacturing equipment to maximize productivity, as well as demonstrate equipment operations and safety procedures to new employees.

• Analyze production reports to identify opportunities and lead corresponding improvements (e.g. line efficiency, productivity, waste).

• Develop, train, implement, and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to sustain improvement projects.

• Review processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.

• Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve personnel grievances.

• Oversee Employee work restrictions as advised by HR

• Oversees all job material application and job documentation and process in ERP for area

• Manages time & attendance for areas

• Prepare documentation for personnel records to include time and attendance management, incident reports, and employee counseling forms.

• Strong Knowledge of company internal ERP System and data collection

• Provide feedback and production floor management of employee injuries and safety issues.
