Drylock Technologies – Reidsville, NC
Position Summary
The Production Manager is responsible for leading daily production floor operations at the Reidsville, NC facility through a team of Production Supervisors. This role ensures safe, efficient, and high‑quality manufacturing while driving performance, team development, cross‑functional coordination, and adherence to Drylock’s operational standards. The Production Manager is a key leadership role supporting Drylock’s culture of safety, respect, ownership, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Leadership & Execution
- Lead, coach, and develop the team of Production Supervisors, ensuring consistent leadership presence across all shifts.
- Oversee day‑to‑day operation of multiple high‑speed converting lines, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and cost targets are met.
- Maintain effective communication to align teams on priorities, performance expectations, and operational changes.
- Monitor KPIs such as OEE, waste, labor efficiency, uptime, and throughput; drive root‑cause analysis and corrective action where necessary.
2. Safety Ownership
- Serve as the primary owner of safety performance within the production area.
- Ensure 100% compliance with Drylock safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, PPE rules, and safe work practices.
- Partner with HR during incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
- Promote a proactive safety culture through coaching, audits, safety walks, and employee engagement.
3. Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the following functions to enable seamless production:
- Logistics/Warehouse – to ensure material flow, WIP control, and timely staging of raw materials.
- Quality – to enforce product specifications, respond to deviations, and support continuous quality improvement.
- Maintenance – to coordinate planned and unplanned downtime, prioritize work orders, and ensure equipment reliability.
- HR – on staffing, employee relations, training programs, coaching plans, and performance management.
- Support planning alignment with Production Planning & Scheduling to ensure schedule adherence, material readiness, and optimal line utilization.
4. People Management & Development
- Provide day‑to‑day supervision, mentorship, and accountability for Production Supervisors and hourly production teams.
- Promote Drylock’s Core Values and maintain a positive, respectful, and high‑performance work environment.
5. Continuous Improvement
- Lead and support CI initiatives across safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
- Partner with Engineering and Maintenance on equipment upgrades and process optimizations.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of production leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (high‑speed consumer goods preferred).
- Prior experience managing frontline supervisors and hourly teams required.
- Strong knowledge of safety practices, quality systems, and manufacturing KPIs.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
- Proficient in ERP systems (SAP preferred); strong analytical and decision‑making skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership presence, and ability to drive accountability.
