Ensures production volume, cost and quality of production and production schedules are met. Constantly monitors production processes and staffing levels. Maintains compliance with company policies and safety standards. Leads a team of direct reports.The Production Manager directs the daily operations of a production line, ensuring production goals are met efficiently and safely by managing staff, coordinating activity according to production schedules, and enforcing safety regulations and company policies. They are responsible for monitoring and evaluating employee performance, quality control, team development, and resolving production issues to maintain optimal output and product quality. Takes ownership of the assigned work area.Key responsibilities:Staff Management and DevelopmentAssign tasks and manage employee schedulesFacilitate the training of new employees and provide ongoing performance feedbackDevelop, update, and refine work instructions with support from Leads and incorporate work instructions into training programs for skill development.Address employee concerns and resolve conflictsConduct performance evaluations with support from Department and Area Leads.Enforce company policies and take disciplinary action when necessaryProduction Oversight:Monitor production lines to ensure quality standards and Takt time are metEnsure work is performed in accordance with standardized work, following the defined individual tasks and sequenceIdentify and address production bottlenecks or delaysImplement and sustain continuous initiatives, including 5SCoordinate with other departments to ensure smooth production flowLeadership DevelopmentWork within the department to develop next generation of Area and Department LeadsParticipate in Leadership Training sessionsQuality Control:Investigate and resolve quality issuesEnsure adherence to company quality standardsInitiate and implement Corrective Actions based on feedback from Quality and other downstream operationsDrive quality at the source mentality amongst TeamSafety Compliance:Enforce safety procedures and regulationsConduct safety training and awareness programsInvestigate and report safety incidentsReporting and Analysis:Generate production reports and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)Analyze production data to identify areas for improvementCommunicate production status to managementPerforms other duties as assignedRequired Skills:Bachelor's Degree in Business, Manufacturing Engineering, or SimilarStrong leadership and supervisory skillsStrong Critical Thinking skillsKnowledge of Lean manufacturing principlesExcellent problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesKnowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control proceduresProficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawingsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsRelevant Experience:Prior managerial experience in a manufacturing environment (3-5 years of experience preferred)Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and operationsAnticipated Salary Range: $90k to $115k Annually, based on applicable experience.We offer a comprehensive benefits package that may include medical, dental, vision, 401k matching, and more!Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.We are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
