Job Overview:

The Production Manager has the responsibility of overseeing plant activities in order to meet business objectives. This role is accountable for all aspects of plant performance, and will ensure that objectives are attained in a cost-effective manner that is consistent with Customer Requirements, Quality Control Plans, and minimum OE Standards. He/she will delegate authority to staff/direct reports to ensure that production and order fulfillment schedules are executed efficiently and on-time. This role is accountable for leading and managing all plant operations in a manner that is consistent with Vision and Values.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead daily production operations.
  • Supervise, train, and develop production supervisors, leads, and operators.
  • Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
  • Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot production issues, and coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams, as well as other departments.
  • Implement and sustain lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee staffing levels, time management, and employee performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality systems.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (OEE, scrap, downtime, etc.).

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of production management or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (blowing mold/plastics environment is a plus).
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to build and motivate a team.
  • Experience with scheduling, production planning, and process optimization.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
