Job Summary:

The Production Manager provides Leadership and oversight of operations and is responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, on-time customer delivery, and safety measures as established and set for assigned areas of Production. Ensure safe and efficient operations. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company’s policies and applicable laws.

Job Duties:
  • Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to production staff.
  • Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising and reviewing job contributions.
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
  • Communicate customer issues with Materials team and devise ways of improving customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints.
  • Work closely with General Manager and process improvement team to set and/or implement policies, procedures and systems and to follow through with implementation.
  • Communicate all operating policies and/or issues at department meetings.
  • Participates in daily, weekly, monthly and annual planning process as appropriate.
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster aid promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in operations management, supply chain, business management or equivalent or 10+ years previous operations management experience implementing production scheduling and real-time operations management.
  • Experience in a production environment.
  • Experience supervising, coaching and developing staff.
  • Experience in hiring and termination processes

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Comfortable with root cause and problem solving analytical methods.
  • Excellent project management, decision making and critical thinking skills, along with superior attention to detail.
  • Data processing and data entry skills.
  • Deadline oriented and able to work well under stress.
  • Good leadership, communication and conflict management skills.
  • Dependable
