Production Operations Manager Manufacturing Engineer Apply
The Production Operations Manager will oversee daily operations of various departments; Manufacturing, Production Control, Quality, Metal Shop and the Warehouse to support manufacturing processes to ensure products are delivered on schedule, within quality standards and meeting cost objectives. Reduce areas of waste to reduce costs and improve quality of products. Will foster a team mentality between all departments to build a cohesive organization.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple functions/departments including Safety, Manufacturing (2 facilities), Production Control/Planning, Quality, Commercial Metal Shop and Warehouse
- Reduce direct and indirect costs to substantially improve site profitability, with a specific focus on the reduction in cost of quality
- Drive a systematic approach to planning and control of all operational management activities ensuring all departments operate safely, efficiently and effectively within budget
- Complies to and promotes the company's Safety and/or Quality Systems and ISO9001standards. Follows and promotes the Company's procedures
- Ensure the required manufacturing documentation is generated and maintained including product travelers, work instructions, acceptance test plans, test data sheets, etc.
- Implements and delivers operational strategies for the manufacturing group in support of client business units to drive business growth
- Work with, and develop, a strong site Operations management team, ensuring an aligned, motivated and skilled site workforce.
- Develop excellent relationships both internally and externally with key customers
- Takes personal responsibility for delivering high standards of customer service by anticipating meeting and exceeding customer expectations. Provides and maintains current customer forecast data in conjunction with commercial functions
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement across the site, encouraging quality systems and LEAN/Six Sigma processes
- Generate and communicate daily, weekly, monthly and annual production plans, metrics and other analysis
- Provide input and analysis for the creation of annual operating budgets and strategic plans
- Participate with implementation of the ERP System
- Supervisory Responsibilities:
Requirements
Minimum of 8 years directly related experience in electronics manufacturing industry
Education
Bachelor's degree in manufacturing discipline, or related and/or equivalent years of experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Operational experience to include costing, assembly line layout, Lean, team building and strong leadership
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics
- LEAN/Six Sigma
- Project Management and Quality experience
- knowledgeable on SolidWorks and ERPs
