PRODUCTION OPERATOR
New Hudson, MI
2nd shift: 2pm-1030pm $17.75/hour with $0.50 increase after training
3rd shift: 10pm-630am $18.00/hour with $0.50 increase after training
The production associates are responsible for producing high quality custom engineered products in a safe manner. Employees may work in different areas of production, including Cold-Heading, Heat Treat, Plating and Collation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Always work in a safe manner.
- Train and become competent in collating and packaging parts.
- Troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to ensure machine efficiency.
- Ensure work area is prepped, clean and organized for next shift.
- Partner with team to ensure machines run to maximum efficiency and meeting all quality standards.
- Work closely with colleagues, with a strong emphasis on team work, minor maintenance, ensuring all quality requirements are met.
- Ensure daily history sheets, manufacturing packs and all other related paperwork are filled out correctly and ensuring all data is recorded.
- May be required to receive training and drive a fork truck.
- Manufacture cassettes as needed.
- Enter items into ERP system as necessary.
- Other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Understanding that Safety and Quality come first.
- Ability to measure parts. (Thickness gauging and coating weights)
- Basic computer skills

EDUCATION OR QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or Equivalent
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (AS APPLICABLE):
- Grip, push and pull carts
- Ability to lift and position parts up to 50lbs periodically
- Standing up for duration of work shift
