This position is responsible for scheduling and coordinating work and material flow between departments. Key responsibilities include scheduling work centers, maintaining inventory levels, controlling costs, maximizing On-Time Delivery, and leading improvement projects within the logistics organization. Regular interaction with employees, management, internal customers, and suppliers is required. The quality and accuracy of work in this role directly impact the department’s operations and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize lean principles to enhance processes across the value stream, from suppliers to customers.
  • Lead initiatives to improve material supply chains and service levels by improving information flow between customers, sales, and supplying plants.
  • Use Macola to generate production orders and determine necessary items to be ordered.
  • Commit to shipping or expedite dates as needed.
  • Maintain master data for customers and suppliers to meet material and shipping requirements.
  • Analyze and monitor key planning parameters, including order changes and inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with teams to plan capacity and schedule customer orders for the appropriate work centers.
  • Support new product introductions and manage engineering/revision changes while minimizing obsolescence risks.
  • Work closely with internal suppliers and purchasing teams to address shortages or short lead-time needs.
  • Review inventory for excess, obsolete items, or parts in transition, and generate scrapping proposals.
  • Monitor production data, including raw material usage and quality control measures.
  • Distribute production schedules or work orders to departments.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Capacity Planning, or Production Planning.
  • APICS – CPIM certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with Macola or similar ERP systems using inventory control methods (MRP).
  • Strong skills in MS Office suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
