Compensation Data: Base Wage Range: $17.55-$30.01 per hour DOE Return on Asset Eligible: Up to 33% of annual eligible earnings Profit Share 5-year Average: 20.17% Position Overview: Nucor Rebar Fabrication is seeking applicants for the position of Production Planning Coordinator (Dispatch / Shipping). We are looking for a dependable, solutions-oriented teammate who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can support production scheduling and dispatch operations. This role performs administrative support at an operational level across key branch functions, with a primary focus on production scheduling, shipping, and dispatch coordination. The Production Planning Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring efficient workflow between the shop, customers, and carriers. Responsibilities: [[cust_safetyState]] Maintain and update Master and Dispatch schedules for all fabrication orders Coordinate daily production and delivery schedules with Shop Manager, Supervisors, and Detailers Arrange trucking with approved carriers and establish daily shipping schedules Communicate proactively with customers regarding delivery timelines and updates Adjust schedules to accommodate changes in production, customer demand, or logistics challenges Serve as a liaison between shop, field, customers, detailers, and carriers to resolve delivery or scheduling issues Process freight invoices, Bills of Lading, production tags, and shipping documentation Monitor deliveries and ensure shipments are completed accurately and on time Support inventory coordination and administrative processes as needed Prepare and maintain accurate records and documentation Perform additional duties as assigned Minimum Requirements: Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future Preferred Qualifications: Two-year degree from an accredited school or college Prior experience in construction, manufacturing, logistics, or dispatch operations Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment High level of accuracy and attention to detail Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, sit, stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks Ability to lift and handle office equipment as needed Use of hands to operate computers and office tools Visual ability including close vision and focus adjustment Ability to work overtime as required Why Join Nucor Rebar Fabrication: Stability with a Fortune 100 company Industry-leading safety culture Competitive pay and performance-based incentives Opportunities for growth and advancement A team-oriented environment where every teammate contributes to success Nucor is an Equal OpportunityEmployer and a drug-free workplace
