Position: Production Supervisor
Pay: $20.50 - $26.00 per hour
Shift: MUST be able to work any shift as needed
Location: Torrance, CA 90501

Overview:
The position is responsible for the supervision of production employees in the manufacturing area. This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.

Essential Job Functions:
-Lead production employees to achieve performance
-Train and monitor employees' performance: coaching/ training as needed.
-Maintain and improve quality by establishing and enforcing GMP and Safety standards.
-Responsible for the quality and product that is produced within the shift in line with the companies’ quality systems, processes and procedures.
-Actively participates in scheduled safety meetings to review safety performance.
-Interacts with maintenance on production equipment preventative maintenance to cut down and prevent production downtime and injuries.
-Interact with outside staffing agencies to ensure proper staffing.
-Participate in daily meetings to update management on production needs and issues.
-Review daily production reports at the end of each shift to ensure accuracy.
=Responsible for the start-up of all conveyors at the beginning of the shift.
-Responsible for setting up the make-up line printer at the beginning of the shift.
-Review and monitor all cooking and mixing procedures.
-Prepare reports as assigned.

Food Safety Responsibilities:
-All employees are required to immediately report and assist in the elimination or control of any food safety issues they observe to their supervisor
-Monitors and enforces company GMPs
-Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Pre-requisite programs

Qualifications:
-Ability to understand written and verbal direction in English and/or Spanish.
-Ability to write reports in English and/or Spanish
-High school diploma, equivalent or higher
-3-5 years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing facility
-Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
