Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift

Responsibilities Directs the operation of shift production, including checking formulas, assigning work tasks, monitoring procedures and schedules to ensure adherence to standards. Demonstrates competency for all on-the-job activities that may affect product safety, legality and/or quality. Ensures that production technicians and outsourced labor are properly instructed in the care and safe operation of equipment; monitors employee use of equipment. Reviews records and procedures to ensure efficient use of time and materials; performs continuous inspections of the product to meet quality standards. Ensures all equipment is in good operating condition. Promotes positive employee relations and interdepartmental communication and cooperation. Maintains a safe working environment through enforcement of safety policies and procedures, including inspections and safety meetings. Plans and adjusts work assignments to cover all phases of production. May be responsible for operating facility metal detectors; must be fully trained and certified for this responsibility. Ensures employee compliance with work rules; assists with employee training. Participates in disciplinary actions as necessary and makes recommendations on disciplinary actions. Maintains cleanliness of the work area and complies with company policies and procedures (EEO, Safety, Sarbanes-Oxley, etc.). Performs other duties as required, including adherence to attendance policies and other applicable operating rules and procedures. Knead to Know: Qualifications Two (2) or more years of experience in all areas of plant production work. Additional Ingredients: Essential Job Requirements High School diploma or equivalent; completion of AIB Bakery Science Residence Program. Completion of a formal management skills training program.
