Location: 3928 Ross Ln Chanute, KS Job Id: 219 # of Openings: 1 The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations on the production floor, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and lead production staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management. Ensure production processes run efficiently and meet daily output targets. Monitor and enforce quality control standards throughout the manufacturing process. Promote and enforce all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment. Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to support production flow and resolve issues. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and reduce waste. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing to ensure material availability. Address production issues proactively to minimize downtime. Analyze production losses and implement corrective actions on an ongoing basis (hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly). Provide clear daily direction and performance expectations to team members. Step in to operate equipment as needed to support production goals when short‑handed. Maintain and update hourly production tracking boards and generate daily reports with action plans. Spend the majority of time (approximately 85%) on the production floor supporting employees and operations. Complete administrative responsibilities (approximately 15% of time), including time approvals, performance evaluations, and action plan updates. Qualifications: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production workflows. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required. Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop employees. Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in a wood manufacturing environment, including exposure to elevated noise levels, sawdust, and machinery.
