Production Supervisor Mars Hill, ME – Temp-to-Hire Opportunity Schedule: Full-Time/Nights; 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM, rotating days Sunday through Saturday. Pay: $63,000 annual salary Now hiring a Production Supervisor to lead the night shift at a well-established production facility in Mars Hill. This position offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, paid holidays, health, dental, and vision insurance, and a retirement plan. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing daily production operations within assigned areas of the facility. Employee will manage team assignments, monitor job site performance, and ensure that production, quality, and sanitation goals are met while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Ideal candidate will have prior supervisory experience, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of food safety and sanitation standards. Responsibilities Coordinate staffing and workflow to meet daily and weekly production goals. Foster teamwork and collaboration across shifts to promote a high-performance culture. Organize routine equipment maintenance and verify proper operation at the start of each shift. Initiate work orders for equipment requiring repair beyond shift capabilities. Maintain a safe work environment through monitoring, training, and prompt issue resolution. Respond to safety incidents and complete incident and accident reports. Requisition necessary production supplies and personal protective equipment (PPE). Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements. Follow Safe Quality Food (SQF) principles as outlined by the SQF Practitioner. Coordinate sanitation schedules and confirm completion of end-of-shift cleanups. Monitor product quality and packaging specifications and implement corrective actions as needed. Support employees in making adjustments to maintain product standards. Review, complete, and submit quality control documentation. Report food safety and workplace safety concerns to appropriate personnel, including QA, Safety, and FSQ staff. Collaborate with management to implement new policies, procedures, and operational improvements. Perform other related duties as required. Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent education required; post-secondary education in business or production management preferred. Minimum three years of production management or similar supervisory experience. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and applicable federal and state safety requirements. Working knowledge of food safety standards, including HACCP, GMPs, and sanitation practices. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with computers, desktop software, and business systems. Ability to adapt to change and manage multiple priorities effectively.
