The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost Control for their designated work areas.This position primarily operates Monday through Friday during daylight hours but requires flexibility to cover off-shifts and weekends as needed. Premium pay is available for shift coverage and overtime.Essential FunctionsFacilitate the implementation of continuous improvement projects to reduce the overall cycle time of materials flowing through the plant.Execute mission-critical maintenance to enhance reliability while minimizing quality costs associated with production stoppages.Supervise and provide technical assistance to hourly personnel, ensuring adherence to safety and housekeeping standards.Modify electrical systems based on reliability and production requirements.Ensure the availability of operational equipment for on-time delivery and verify the correct operation of equipment for quality assurance.Collaborate closely with internal and external support personnel for mill activity coordination.Create cross-training opportunities to enhance understanding of coil finishing processes.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field, OR four years of experience in a manufacturing supervisory role.Preferred QualificationsExperience in a manufacturing environment.Familiarity with PLCs, motor control centers, static drives, and power distribution.Ability to read mechanical and electrical blueprints.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to learn and understand the intricacies of the Annealing and Pickling processes and to capture and automate learnings.Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and work schedules to consistently meet deadlines.Effective leadership skills for managing a diverse and represented hourly workforce.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Exceptional organizational skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.) and ability to use and maintain related company systems.
