Responsibilities Position Summary The production support ensures continuous, high-volume production by feeding cheese to the production lines while adhering to strict safety and quality standards. They keep lines full by monitoring machinery, performing fast-paced manual tasks, and immediately reporting defects or bottlenecks to supervisors to maintain efficiency. Key Responsibilities Line Support: Feed, fill, and load raw materials, ingredients, or packaging components into machines to keep production lines running at optimal speed. Food Safety/Quality: Inspect products on the line for quality issues, removing defects to ensure compliance with hygiene standards. Machine Operation: Start, monitor, and clean production equipment, performing minor adjustments or reporting malfunctions. Assembly & Packaging: Manually assemble, fill, seal, and pack finished food products for shipment. Efficiency: Perform repetitive, fast-paced tasks to meet production quotas and prevent line stoppages. Perform other duties as assigned. Equipment Operation Assist in line startups, changeovers, shutdowns, and troubleshooting process issues. Serve as the communication link between team members and supervisors regarding performance, staffing, and process changes. Promote a positive, team-focused environment with an emphasis on accountability and continuous improvement. Quality & Inspection Perform visual inspections of product and packaging to identify defects, contamination, or foreign material. Complete routine quality checks including weight verification and packaging appearance. Immediately escalate any nonconforming product or equipment issues. General Responsibilities Follow all GMPs, food safety procedures, and plant safety guidelines. Complete required production and quality documentation accurately and on time. Assist with equipment changeovers, cleaning, and line setup. Perform basic troubleshooting and communicate equipment issues to maintenance. Maintain an orderly, clean, and safe work area. Qualifications Prior manufacturing or packaging experience preferred. Great communication for working with others on the job Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot potential issues Resourcefulness in learning new manuals and processes Outstanding attention to detail with the ability to understand mechanics and technical tasks Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety. Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. Forklift or Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) operator certification is a plus. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, or overtime Ability to speak and read English Requirements Assist in line startups, changeovers, shutdowns, and troubleshooting process issues. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for long periods Ability to work in cold or noisy environments typical of food processing.
