About You

We’re seeking a result-focused, innovative, customer-centric and well-qualified individual to join our talented team as a Production Technician. Based out of our New York location, you will develop customized production project solutions through the creation of programs and processes for new and established orders using masking, gelling, conformal coating, potting, and encapsulating machinery.  Also, by continuously identifying and implementing efficiency and quality process improvements.

You will:

  • Establish and maintain extraordinary standards of customer service and reputation by programming parts on potting and conformal coating equipment, and setting up automated PVA machine processes for masking, gelling, and conformal coating.
  • Develop a responsive, knowledgeable, high-performing production team by providing product-specific training of PVA equipment to all operators and developing scheduling efficiencies in collaboration with the Production Manager.
  • Develop and disseminate an up-to-date, accurate product knowledge base by providing operational input into work instructions (WI) for each new product roll-out, and by regularly reviewing WIs for readability, accuracy, dependability, and appropriateness.
  • Consistently deliver on high standards of product care and procedural accuracy by managing and maintaining workplace protocols pertaining to ISO9001, and by checking that operators follow electrostatic sensitivity (ESD) procedures.
  • Establish operational planning and control requirements by defining and implementing effective Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA) plans.
  • Create and develop innovative solutions to project and production issues by the design and practice of on-the-floor feasibility experimentation.
  • Effectively manage departmental production expertise by researching new technologies, analyzing industry and trends, identifying changes in cutting edge equipment and technologies, and disseminating learning to the production team.
  • Maintain a safe, healthy, and clean workplace by observing best housekeeping practices for equipment and products use, storage and handling, and by fully complying with company, local, provincial, and federal safety standards.

Requirements

You should have:

  • Diploma or equivalent in Electronics or Electro-mechanical engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in the electronics industry
  • 2+ years’ experience with equipment and materials capabilities
  • 2+ years’ experience in ISO9000 quality programs
  • Entry level knowledge of IPC Standards related to conformal coating process
  • Knowledge of ESD and ability to read and interpret technical documents
  • Proficiency with CAD reading softward, 3D printing and PVA softwared
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving skills
  • High level of attention to detail

Salary Range:

$25.73 per hour
