The Workshop Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing air compressors and related components in a production workshop environment. This role supports production, quality, and service teams to ensure all equipment meets FNA Group’s performance, quality, and safety standards.


Responsibilities

  • Assemble air compressors and subcomponents according to drawings, specifications, and work instructions
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic assembly tasks using appropriate tools and equipment
  • Test assembled units for performance, leaks, and compliance with quality standards
  • Diagnose and repair issues on returned or defective units in coordination with the quality/service team
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including test results and non-conformance reports
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Assist in packing and preparing units for shipment when needed
  • Support inventory control by reporting material shortages or usage variances
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to implement improvements or resolve issues



Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED; technical certification or vocational training preferred
  • At least one (1) year of experience in a mechanical assembly, service, or production technician role
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and basic electrical understanding
  • Skilled in using hand tools, torque wrenches, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with air compressors, pumps, or related industrial equipment
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
  • Forklift certification is a plus
