Job Summary
Coordinates the monthly accounting closing process for all Direct Support Organizations, including the preparation of adjusting entries and reconciliations as necessary.
Prepares bank reconciliations for all Direct Support Organizations.
Compiles financial statements and assists in the preparation of note disclosures for all Direct Support Organizations.
Processes and records to the general ledger all incoming funds for all Direct Support Organizations.
Processes disbursements for all Direct Support Organizations by reviewing the accuracy of invoices and supporting documentation submitted for payment.
Processes IRS 1099 miscellaneous forms and ensures that data is accurate and compiles information for tax returns.
Serves as audit liaison by working with auditors on data/records requests and prepares audit confirmations as requested.
Prepares business processes and procedures related to all Direct Support Organizations.
Assists in the preparation of annual budgets and management reports presented to the respective Board of Directors; assists with ad hoc requests for reports and other financial information.
Performs other related duties as assigned or directed; omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Updates and maintains the K‑1 schedules log and compiles supporting documentation required for the annual audit.
Prepares monthly sales tax reconciliations in preparation for filing with the Florida Department of Revenue.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related business field to include a minimum of 6 credits in Accounting; OR four (4) years of appropriate experience to include one (1) year of accounting‑related experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
