- Temporary Job Appointment: This position may be filled by temporary job appointment not to exceed 48 months.
- Probational Appointment: Current permanent status classified State employees will be required to accept a probational appointment, if selected.
- This vacancy is located at Capital Area Recovery Program (CARP), a 24-hour substance abuse facility.
- Licensure as either a Provisional or Licensed Professional Counselor or a Provisional or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist is required. There is no substitution for this requirement.
- This position requires the incumbents to drive as part of his/her regular job duties. Incumbent must possess a valid driver's license upon hire.

- Professional Counselor 1(pay grade level SS-412) has a minimum salary of $18.38/hourly; $1,470.40/bi-weekly.
- Professional Counselor 2(pay grade level SS-413) has a minimum salary of $19.67/hourly; $1,573.60/bi-weekly.
- Professional Counselor 3(pay grade level SS-414) has a minimum salary of $21.05/hourly; $1,684.00/bi-weekly.
- Professional Counselor 4(pay grade level SS-415) has a minimum salary of $22.52/hourly; $1,801.60/bi-weekly.
The advertised maximum amount listed is the maximum salary a person can make while in this title/level over their career and not the maximum amount we are allowed to pay a new hire.
No Civil Service test score is required in order to be considered for this vacancy.
