We are seeking a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with a strong background in residential wood-frame construction to join our growing structural engineering team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the design of production homes, custom residences, and light commercial structures, while ensuring technical excellence, code compliance, and quality assurance.The ideal candidate is a technically skilled, detail-oriented engineer who is proficient in AutoCAD, possesses a solid understanding of Texas building standards, and is interested in mentoring junior staff as part of long-term team development.Responsibilities Include:Structural design and analysis for residential and light commercial wood-frame structuresPreparation of construction drawings, structural calculations, and detailing using AutoCADCoordination with internal drafting teams, clients, municipalities, and contractorsOversight of project deliverables to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standardsField observations and technical support during construction, as neededMentorship of EITs and junior engineering staff (future responsibility)Qualifications:Active Professional Engineer (PE) license (Texas preferred or ability to obtain via comity)Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in residential structural design (5+ years preferred)Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree preferred)Proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit, Bluebeam, or similar tools is a plusExperience with design software such as EnerCalc, RISA, PTI Slab, STAAD or similarStrong knowledge of relevant codes and standards: IRC, IBC, ASCE 7, NDS, ACI 318Effective communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindsetDemonstrate the ability to manage multiple pro, meet deadlines, and maintain quality in a fast-paced environmentInterest in mentoring EIT's or junior engineers as the team growsCompensation & Benefits:Competitive salary commensurate with experienceHealth insurance, paid time off, and performance-based bonus potential
