ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Serve as the primary security subject-matter expert supporting the DUECE mission at Y-12.
  • Act as the prime coordinator and day-to-day liaison with NA-19 in support of its mission requirements.
  • Provide senior-level support across DOE/NNSA security topical areas, including:
    • Program and project management related to security operations and compliance.
    • Vulnerability assessments, including SSPs, VARs, SRAs, site plans, scenario development, and related analyses.
    • Physical security systems, policies, and protective strategies.
    • Protective Force and law enforcement coordination, including development and management of MOUs and MOAs.
    • Personnel security programs and processes.
    • Performance testing activities and corrective-action follow-up.
    • Nuclear Material Control and Accountability (NMC&A).
  • Plan, conduct, and support surveys and assessments, including self-assessments, shadow assessments, assessments for cause, and related evaluation activities.
  • Coordinate closely with YFO-20 staff and internal security personnel to ensure integrated support to the DUECE facility.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10–15+ years of demonstrated experience supporting DOE/NNSA security programs.
  • Direct experience at the Y-12 National Security Complex, with a working understanding of site-specific security operations and expectations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the DUECE mission.
  • Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) experience is a plus.
  • Nuclear Material Control and Accountability (NMC&A) experience.
  • Hands-on experience across multiple DOE/NNSA security topical areas, including vulnerability assessments, physical security, protective force coordination, personnel security, and performance testing.
  • Experience conducting or supporting surveys, self-assessments, shadow assessments, and assessments for cause.
  • Active Q Clearance

LOCATION:  This position is full-time on-site position in Oak Ridge, TN.

SALARY: Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data, internal equity, and the candidate’s related knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
