Vision Point Systems is looking for a Program Analyst to work in partnership with our team who support the Naval Surface Warfare Center - Carderock Division and the US Navy acquisition program offices. The portfolio of programs covers many aspects of materials R&D and engineering challenges ranging from applied research and development on next generation structural and mechanical materials; industrial base capitalization and transition to industry 4.0; reconstitution of research and development infrastructure; engineering and trades workforce development; and transition of new technologies and manufacturing processes to the fleet.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Track current and projected spending of program funds for utilization by Carderock Engineers.
  • Prepare slide decks for monthly/quarterly program reviews.
  • Work with the VPS and Government PM team to develop and implement program and project management tools to track project milestones, implement schedules, track material and samples, and other necessary processes.
  • Work with the Government PM to develop templates and standard methods for data/file organization.
  • Assist Government PM with planning and scheduling facility audits, including composing announcement letters, compiling audit documentation, and drafting audit letters.
  • Assist Government PM with tracking vendor qualification status and due dates, including managing action items supporting the NAVSEA Technical Warrant Holder.
  • Track schedules and progress of R&D project agreements being executed by external partners.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of program/project management experience.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance. Requires US citizenship.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and be highly motivated.
  • Must have high analytical skills and at least an intermediate knowledge of Excel.
  • This role can be executed entirely remotely but may require both OCONUS and CONUS travel between 10-15% of the time. If living outside the DC metro region, travel requirements will be 20-50% of the time.

Desired:

  • Current Secret level security clearance is a plus.
  • Some experience and/or understanding of the US Navy and/or government contracts is a plus.
  • Experience/understanding of metallurgy is not required but it is a plus.
