Job Description Housing & Food Services has an outstanding opportunity for a Program Assistant - Athletics Dining Program to join their team. About this Opportunity Reporting to the General Manager, the Program Assistant - Athletics Dining Porgram is responsible for assisting the Don James Center Training Table management team with administrative and operational support in a dynamic food service environment. Providing nutrition to power performance, the support of this Program Coordinator position is important in providing nutritionally optimal meals and a consistent dining experience for athletes and coaches. Though hired into a specific working title or location, all employees of Housing & Food Services are expected to support overall operational and customer service needs by: participating in cross-training, providing coverage during staff absences or high business volume, participating in production and/or service of special events, and being willing and able to perform additional, related duties and/or be reassigned to another work unit (as appropriate, within job classification). Key Responsibilities Operational Support - 40% Act as point of contact for general support to unit employees, internal and external customers, vendors, etc. Document, implement, interpret and communicate procedures, work methods, forms, schedules and job priorities to meet the business needs of the leadership team. Support unit operations and communicate program-specific policies and procedures to employees, customers and guests. Administrative Support - 30% Update signage, including menu and pricing boards Insure that appropriate files, records and databases are maintained. Perform and coordinate data input into CBORD FSS system following established protocols, including orders, invoices, inventory, transfers and service menus. Identify and escalate suspected errors or issues to manager or Dining Systems. Student Employee Scheduling + Onboarding - 30% Under the direction of the managers, support student employment processes by assisting with orientation, training, and scheduling functions With direction from manager supports tasks associated with student hiring, training, onboarding and scheduling coverage. Track new hires to insure that they receive the prescribed orientation, training and evaluations. Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrates competence to direct staff, prioritize work and communicate effectively with a diverse group of staff and customers.
