Program Assistant (Illinois Retired Officer Concealed Carry)

  • Work Department:
    ILETSB Executive Institute
  • Class Title/Code: Program Assistant (5001)
  • Effective Date: Apr 3, 2024
  • Responsibilities:
    The Illinois Retired Officer Concealed Carry (IROCC) Program Assistant typically:
    • Assists in the overall data entry and documentation of an IROCC application.
    • Ensures all policies and procedures are followed for review and issuance of IROCC card.
    • Monitors, provides and maintains all records, files and documents per guidelines.
    • Answers phone calls and emails related to the program.
    • Responsible for data collection, storage, input and certification documentation for the program.
    • Conducts post reviews of all rules, regulations and law updates to program.
    • Maintains and reviews all records to ensure the program activities comply with all statutory, regulatory, and administrative requirements.
  • Required Qualifications:
    CREDENTIALS TO BE VERIFIED BY PLACEMENT OFFICER:
    • Bachelor's degree
    • At least three (3) years of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization.

    • Note: Master's Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1 year) of work experience.
  • Starting Salary: $17.
    44/hour

    Duties must be performed out of Springfield, IL.
