Our Parks & Recreation Department is looking for an energetic Program Coordinator to lead and deliver year‑round recreation programs that make a real impact. From youth sports and after‑school programs to adult leagues, camps, clinics, and special events, you’ll be at the heart of planning, promoting, and running programs that bring our community together. What You’ll Do Coordinate and implement a wide range of recreation programs and special events Manage logistics like facilities, equipment, scheduling, and permits Recruit, train, schedule, and support seasonal staff and contract instructors Build strong relationships with participants, families, vendors, and community partners Assist with program promotion and outreach efforts Support budgeting by tracking expenses, revenue, and program data Monitor supplies and equipment and coordinate purchasing Provide on‑site supervision—including evenings and weekends Jump in where needed to help the department succeed Your work will ensure our programs run smoothly, safely, and with the high quality our community expects. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Education, or a related field OR equivalent experience Experience working with youth, adults, or community‑based programming Knowledge of recreation planning, safety practices, and program delivery Strong organization, communication, and customer service skills Ability to multitask and thrive in a dynamic, active environment Comfort supervising part‑time and seasonal staff Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and special events Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with recreation software (ActiveNet, CivicPlus, MyRec) a plus Who You’ll Work With You’ll work under the leadership of the Director, Assistant Director, and Program Superintendent, and collaborate with a dedicated team committed to providing exceptional recreation experiences to the community.
