So,... are you ready? JOB SUMMARY Program Coordinators (PCs) will support the successful delivery and execution of our high school residential summer programs from May 27, 2026 to June 27, 2026. They are responsible for supervising Program Advisors, students and ensuring everyone's physical and emotional well‑being during all program activities. PCs report to the CPO Associate Director(s). They will plan and lead Program Advisor training and student activities, and work with staff to create inclusive academic, social, and recreational events that encourage meaningful engagement. Other duties as assigned. JOB DUTIES 25% - Essential - PCs supervise Program Advisors and students, ensuring their physical and emotional well‑being during all program activities, including on‑campus sessions, training sessions, bus travel, and field trips. They must stay alert to changes in PA and student behavior or health and take action to maintain a safe environment. 25% - Essential - PCs oversee PAs’ planning and leading student activities that encourage meaningful engagement, working to create inclusive academic, social, and recreational events and fostering a positive atmosphere that ensures meaningful student participation and connection. 25% - Essential - PCs assist PAs with student academic work and assignments given by instructors throughout the summer. PCs will oversee the implementation of the YPAR project under the direction of the YPAR instructor. 15% - Essential - PCs attend all required PC training sessions, lead PA training sessions, staff meetings, and program events. Active participation in all aspects of the program is expected. 10% - Essential - PCs collaborate with CPO Staff, Program Staff and Program Advisors, leading the team with clear communication to ensure program success. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: High School or equivalent and some college education. Work Experience: 1+ years working with youth. RESPONSIBILITIES JOB KNOWLEDGE Fundamental Job Knowledge – Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Acts as Lead – Acts as a Lead by guiding the work of others who perform essentially the same work. BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES No Budget Responsibilities – No fiscal responsibility for the department’s budget. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 10% – Stand for prolonged period. 10% – Sit (stationary position) for prolonged period. 20% – Walk or move about. 10% – Ascend or descend (i.e. stairs, ladder). 10% – Position self to accomplish task (i.e. stoop, kneel, crawl). 20% – Communicate, converse, give direction, express oneself. 10% – Extends hands or arms in any direction. 10% – Perceive, observe, clarity of vision. WORKING CONDITIONS 10% – Exposure to heat or cold. 15% – Wet or humid. 20% – Noise. 5% – Overnight travel. Room and board is provided. WORK SCHEDULE Standard Hours: 40. COMPENSATION INFORMATION Expected Salary: $17.89/hour. Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson’s compensation guidelines. ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL Normal Operations – Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on‑site during emergency situations. JOB LOCATION Clemson, SC.
