Responsibilities
Coordinates and performs the day‑to‑day functions of the Forensic Nurse Examiner program. Serves as primary point of contact, coordinates FNE schedule, reviews patient charts, contacts patients for follow‑up services, and completes forensic medical exams in the emergency department and clinic under the supervision of the clinic ARNP or ED physicians. Supports the ongoing development of FNEs by presenting new nurses and completing chart reviews. Performs all functions of an FNE including responding to subpoenas and providing courtroom testimony. Evening shift coordinator’s primary responsibility is responding to the ED. Day shift coordinator’s primary responsibility is program coordination from the clinic.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License
Upon hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association
1 year direct patient care as a nurse
Preferred Qualifications
1 year direct patient care as a SANE or Forensic Nurse Examiner
