Program Manager / Program Level IT PM - Salesforce/Hybrid/Direct Hire 5006 Apply
Job Description
Program Manager / Program‑Level IT PM - Salesforce/Hybrid/Direct Hire 5006
Tier4 Group is seeking a program‑level Project Manager to join our Technology organization during a period of rapid transformation and growth following an acquisition. This role is not a traditional task‑tracking PM position. We are looking for a strategic thinker and execution leader who can quickly understand business context, connect initiatives across teams, and translate leadership intent into clear, executable outcomes.
The successful candidate will operate in a startup‑like environment inside a growing enterprise, where systems, processes, and teams are still being built. This role requires strong judgment, ownership, and the ability to operate effectively amid ambiguity.
What This Role Is (and Is Not)
This role is:
- A program‑level leadership role responsible for driving clarity, alignment, and execution across multiple initiatives
- Highly cross‑functional, partnering closely with technology leaders, business stakeholders, and delivery teams
- Focused on outcomes, synthesis, and decision‑making, not just documentation
This role is not:
- A note‑taking or status‑only role
- A passive coordinator waiting for direction
- A role that simply documents what others say without adding insight
Key Responsibilities
Program Planning & Execution
- Translate leadership vision and business objectives into clear, structured execution plans
- Define milestones, dependencies, risks, and success metrics across multiple initiatives
- Actively manage and adjust plans as priorities evolve in a dynamic environment
Business & Program Context Ownership
- Quickly understand how initiatives connect across Salesforce, data, ERP, integrations, and other platforms
- Ask the right questions to clarify ambiguity and surface dependencies
- Ensure teams understand not just what they are doing, but why it matters
Executive‑Ready Communication
- Synthesize complex discussions into clear, concise, executive‑ready summaries
- Communicate progress, risks, and tradeoffs in a way that supports leadership decision‑making
- Produce deliverables that stand on their own without requiring rework
Risk, Issue, and Dependency Management
- Proactively identify risks, gaps, and bottlenecks across programs
- Drive accountability for resolution and mitigation
- Anticipate downstream impacts rather than reacting late
Enable and Unblock Teams
- Remove impediments by pulling together the right stakeholders at the right time
- Facilitate alignment across technology and business teams
- Support Agile ways of working while keeping focus on delivery and outcomes
Governance & Prioritization Support
- Support lightweight program governance, including:
- Initiative intake
- Prioritization criteria
- Value and impact assessment
- Help ensure CR is investing in the right initiatives and executing them effectively
What Success Looks Like
Within the first 60–90 days, this person will:
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of CR’s business and technology landscape
- Require minimal direction to operate effectively
- Proactively connect dots across initiatives and surface meaningful insights
- Be viewed by leaders as a trusted execution partner, not an information relay
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience in Project or Program Management (program‑level experience strongly preferred)
- Proven experience managing multiple, interdependent initiatives simultaneously
- Strong experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban)
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize information, make sound judgments, and communicate clearly at all levels
- Experience partnering with business leaders and influencing outcomes without formal authority
- Experience working with third‑party vendors and consulting partners
- Experience with Agile tooling (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
Preferred Experience
- Experience leading or supporting Salesforce implementations or enhancements
- Experience operating in greenfield or transformation environments
- Involvement in establishing or operating within a lightweight PMO or program governance model
- Background working in fast‑moving, ambiguous environments where ownership and judgment are critical
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate:
- Ramps quickly and understands context within weeks, not months
- Thinks in connections, impacts, and outcomes, not tasks
- Is comfortable pushing for clarity and challenging assumptions
- Produces high‑quality work that does not require rework
- Acts as a force multiplier for leadership and delivery teams
