Duties

What are the Major Duties of this Position?

This position is located in the Equal Employment Opportunity Office, Program Review Division (PRO), Bureau of Prisons (BOP), Washington, D.
C.


Serves as the Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) Manager under the supervision of the Equal Employment Opportunity Officer/Chief, Conflict Resolution, Equal Employment and Diversity (CREED).


Responsible for the development, advancement, implementation and training of all policies, programs, procedures, and work processes to ensure the BOP is a model for diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility, where all employees are treated with dignity and respect.


Recommends changes to existing policies and procedures to strengthen the BOP's ability to recruit, hire, develop, promote, and retain qualified employees and remove barriers to equal opportunity.
Special emphasis is placed on increasing the representation of underserved communities.


Responsible for the delivery of complex diversity management initiatives including but not limited to, conception, as well as implementation of programs in partnership with senior leadership in the BOP and DOJ which promote DEIA.
