About the Position:
The University ofMinnesota Medical School seeks a Data Metrics Project Manager to serve in the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI). The DataMetrics Project Manager is responsible for administering the Diversity Engagement Survey and the Diversity, Inclusion, Culture, and Equity(DICE) Inventory within the Medical School and using data to create and maintain dashboards to track and benchmark key metrics forleaders.
The Data Metrics Project Manager will oversee the development and implementation of assigned DEI initiatives, manage andconduct data analysis, and support research grant proposal development, submission, and ongoing maintenance. The Project Manager willcollaborate with the Medical School's Research Office, participate in a school-wide team assisting investigators with complex grantapplications, and engage with numerous university and Medical School leaders, faculty, and community members. This position reports to theDirector of the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

60%: Data Analysis and Reporting
- Program evaluation, research design,quantitative and qualitative data collection, statistical data analysis, visualization, and reporting.
- Provide leadership withquantitative and qualitative analysis to support program effectiveness
- Works with large and complex data sets, including extracting,merging, cleaning, analyzing, and transforming data to meet reporting needs and maintain historical records.
- Uses software toconvert files and conduct data analysis in SPSS, Excel, SmartSheets or Tableau.
- Maintains data quality and engages in validation,Clean data file (SPSS, Excel, CSV)
- Generates and formats summary reports in Qualtrics.
- Recommends analysis and reportingplans.
- Provides meaningful reports and data visualization, qualitative and quantitative methods, and mixed methods and multi-modeapproaches for a variety of stakeholders.
- Prepares and presents reports or findings to key stakeholders for internal and externalprogress and annual reports.
- Advance and implement data metric dashboards and update leaders and key stakeholders on current trendsand implications.
- Collaborate with Human Resources, Office of Faculty Affairs, and other Dean's Office staff to collect and retaindata.
- Administer, compile, and analyze the DICE Inventory, the Diversity Engagement Survey (DES), and other surveys as needed forODEI staff and its groups, programs, and mission.
- Support the data metrics needs of ODEI faculty and staff for mission-driveninitiatives and projects, including data visualization
- Oversight and management of the data collection process
- Work with principal investigators (PI) to establish and manage proposaldevelopment and submission timelines based on funder requirements and thorough review of FOAs.
- Ensure coverage of the proposal'sdocument management, budget development, and grant management elements.
- Work with PI to understand editor needs; arrange coverageof this as needed.
- Manage proposal collaborations in and outside the university to ensure complete and timely presentation ofrequired content for submission.
- Develop, document, and implement processes to support researchers in developing grant proposalsthat fully integrate diversity, equity, and inclusion components into their work.
- Present research proposal updates to leaders andkey stakeholders.
- Support the implementation of the research for awarded proposals.
- Collaborate with the Research/Pre-AwardsOffice to meet deadlines and ensure submission compliance.
- Track and maintain strategic plan goals and updates for the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council (DEIC), theOffice of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI), and the Medical School Dean.
- Assist in detailed and thoughtful analysis andsynopsis of ODEI annual reports, strategic plans, and various project updates.
- Maintain collaborative online spaces and inquiriesfor faculty and staff members and committees (i.e., shared ODEI email account, Google Drive, Google Groups, and Boxfolders).
- Provide technical support to all ODEI faculty and staff/programs and units related to data analysis and visualizationneeds
- Manage and maintain the ODEI Website and audit for accuracy during times of staff and faculty transition.
- Participatein monthly newsletter planning meetings to share updates across the Medical School.
- Participate in departmental requests for writtendocument support and compliance.
Required Qualifications (please document on theresume)
- BA/BS with at least two years of experience OR a combination of related education and work experience to equal atleast 6 years.
- Experience managing projects, including utilizing tools for tracking activities/assignments andstatus.
- Relevant experience in research and outreach, including knowledge of survey best practices, data collection, data analysis,and presentation and/or publication of findings.
- Experience with developing grant proposals and grantmanagement.
- Demonstrated Qualtrics, Excel, and SmartSheets knowledge/proficiency.
- Proficient with statistical analysissoftware (e.g., SPSS, Stata).
- Experience with Tableau (or similar program) and data visualization.
- Demonstrated ability towork effectively both as a part of a team and individually.
- Self-starter with a demonstrated willingness to take initiative anddeliver quality work products.
