Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting for a Programs Engineer in West Mifflin, PA.

Headquartered in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Navarro has active programs in place across the nation for DOE/NNSA, NASA, and the Department of Defense.

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory develops advanced naval nuclear propulsion technology for the safety and reliability of our Navy’s submarine and aircraft fleet. Our company is looking for an engineer in our Programs and Contracts team. The candidate will evaluate the current manufacturing vendor oversight model and work closely with the team to ensure adequate oversight is being applied to ongoing manufacturing activities. These responsibilities will include leading ongoing oversight activities and ensuring the proper balance of quality, cost, and schedule is maintained. The successful candidate will assist the current programs and contract team by helping incorporate contract changes, analyze pending contract changes, and provide direction on contract interpretation. The successful candidate will assist others in working through manufacturing challenges with the goal of finding the solution that is in the best interest of the Navy.

Requirements

-Prior knowledge and experience working with contracts

-Prior knowledge and experience working closely with manufacturing vendors

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills

-Excellent ability to team/collaborate across a broad range of stakeholders

Desired Requirements

-Prior manufacturing experience

-Prior design experience

-Prior experience in nuclear design/manufacturing
